Our Urban Box

Where have the last 2 months gone? I’ve kind of been MIA on the blog these last few months. Life got in the way and I think I have the end of year exhaustion. Everyone told me that when your kids start school, everyone is tired by the end of the year. I didn’t realise that meant me too! Throw in starting a new job and a new business, my beloved blog got neglected. It makes me sad but what can you do? Here is where my head is at this month –

Making : Appointments for Miss 4 – poor thing has a speech problem and a turned eye.
Cooking : Gingerbread men – I used this thermomix recipe and they were good! So good!!
Drinking : Juice slushies in my thermomix.
Reading: Not much really, not even my favourite blogs. No time lately.
Wanting: More time, more money and more sleep – ha don’t we all?
Looking: Forward to the house build starting next year!
Playing: With Fat Mum Slims fun kit.
Deciding: On how to afford the marble hexagon tiles I want for my ensuite.
Wishing: I had more money for the above haha
Enjoying: Mr 6 and his stories. Always a tale to tell.
Waiting: For our final house plans – come on already!
Wondering: About the psychic reading I had the other day. It was all good, just wonder if its true?
Loving: The fact I am going home to The Hill for Christmas to see mum!
Considering: Sending Christmas cards. I really should but I know I won’t.
Buying: Well I suppose I should say Christmas presents but I kinda haven’t got myself organised yet again!
Watching: The Walking Dead – love me some zombie gore!
Hoping: 2016 is THE year – I think it will be!
Marvelling: At how great 2015 has been. Some seriously cool stuff happened this year!
Cringing: At the flashbacks of some big nights out.
Needing: Someone to hold my hand at Red Cross next week when I donate blood.
Questioning: Nothing really – it all happens for a reason.
Smelling: um – the dog? Although he is freshly bathed so he smells good!
Wearing: New marble earrings from Sportsgirl – living in them!
Noticing: How well my string of pearl plants are doing.
Admiring: How brave Miss 4 was with her surgery earlier this month. She was a trooper.
Sorting: Miss 4’s room is getting a thorough going through soon. Mr 6’s has been done and then it is her turn.
Getting: A bit nervy and I’m not sure why… do you ever feel like that?
Disliking: The grog guilts – do you get them? October was a big month and the grog guilts hit hard! We obviously are not 21 anymore!
Opening: Surprise gifts in the mail, thanks Jenni you little ray of sunshine you!
Feeling: Oh god, all the feels this month. What a rollercoaster.
Snacking: Chocolate – my weakness!

Tell me, what are you cringing about this month?

My son had a speech problem & a turned eye at the age of 4 too. Never ending appointments but a very happy ending. He wore glasses every day until he was 8 & the turned eye was corrected – no more glasses! Speech therapy worked a treat too. We were surprised & elated that all that hard work paid off. He’s now 12! It’s a hard slog at the time but it all works out.
Love reading your blog, I check every Friday for updates. You’re doing a wonderful job.
