TAKING STOCK: MAY 2015

Taking Stock May 2015

Hello! How’s your week been? Exciting? Intriguing? Ho hum? I’ve been sick since Friday last week and it has ended with me taking two days off work to rest, I just can’t shake the head cold and cough and I’m thinking I have a chest infection.  I’m blocked up and achey and not a happy camper! At least I haven’t had the kids home with me so I have had two days of complete rest. Hopefully the sickness goes on its merry way soon!

I haven’t done a taking stock since March, I am over due for one. Taking stock was created by Pip from Meet Me at Mikes and ever since bloggers all over join her each month in taking a moment to reflect on the past month.

Making: Plans for a certain little girls 4th birthday. Its official I now have a school aged child and a preschooler! No more babies or toddlers for us.
Cooking: Not much, we’ve had far too  many easy meals and takeaway of late.
Drinking: Tea without sugar now.
Reading: Who magazine. I need some celeb gossip each week.
Wanting: Winter to be over already.
Looking: Forward to 4 nights in Far North QLD next month. A quick trip for my brothers wedding.
Playing: With my new Macbook Pro. I lurve it!
Deciding: On how to style some product for a review tomorrow. Stay tuned for it on the blog in the next week or so! If you love Scandinavian style, you’re going to love this store I found!
Wishing: I believed in myself sooner.
Enjoying: My new jobs – yep two new jobs this month and I am loving them both. But boy am I busy!
Waiting: For a moment to read the new HomesPlus magazine.
Wondering: What the future is going to bring.
Loving: The weather, cool mornings and sunny days.
Pondering: On new business names.
Buying: This was a month of big expenses – new pooch, new laptop and a new car! Car will be ready on Friday.
Watching: Australia’s Next Top Model and Married at First Sight. Both top quality television ha!
Hoping: For change.
Marvelling: At how clever and talented some people are.
Cringing: Every time the pooch wee’s inside.
Questioning: Nothing really.
Smelling: Leo the pooch. He doesn’t have that doggy smell yet, still that cute and sweet puppy smell.
Wearing: Ugg boots and PJ’s. The best thing about winter.
Following: Bruce Jenner’s story.. no judgement please… I find it so interesting!
Noticing: Just how grown up Miss 3 is becoming. And tall!
Knowing: We’ve blown our budget this month after doing so well last month. See above point on buying lol.
Thinking: How hard it is to toilet train a puppy.
Sorting: Out the crap on the iMac and trying to get it somewhat organised.
Getting: A bee in my bonnet about some things!
Bookmarking: Everything all over again! I’ve had to re bookmark all my sites from the iMac onto the Macbook. Total first world problem I know.
Coveting: New pyjama’s.
Disliking: Being so tired. Too many late nights have caught up with me.
Opening: I know there is a parcel in the post from a lovely reader so I’ll be opening that soon. Thanks M.
Giggling: At Leo – he is the silliest of pooches but so damn adorable.
Feeling: Excited about my new jobs.
Snacking: On carrots, celery and hommus.
Helping: Out another blogger with her blog.
Hearing: Oh man I love this song. Exs & Ohs by Ellie King – Love it!

May has been a huge month for me. I am phyically and mentally exhausted. I just need to settle into a new routine and I should be right. Winter is the season for hibernation right?

Tell me, how has May been for you?

May has been crazy – no wonder I’m run down and sick! Everything is pretty exciting though. No Insta account for Leo, but if he does you will be the first to know!

I could pretty much copy & paste this… I’m currently sick too, planning a 4 yo bday party, loving top model, drink tea with no sugar and wanting winter gone before it’s officially even started. Wish I could copy and paste the bit about the new Mac and car though 😉

Oh I love this list… May has been too busy and felt a bit like chasing my tail… I have lots of to do lists which I never feel like I make much progress on. However if I write a list like yours I might actually see how much was achieved. Great to take stock and breathe for a minute. Xxx

To do lists are always never ending don’t you think? Hopefully life is a bit slower for both of us over winter x
