LOW COST || HIGH IMPACT – THE BATHROOM

Want to style your bathroom with new products but on a budget? It can be done. Let me show you some tips and tricks to styling a bathroom for maximum impact and minimum cost.

You can decorate your bathroom on a budget! It is easy with a few tricks, tips and of course some bargain bathroom buys all under $20! Wow visitors to your home when they are…err… visiting your bathroom. Being on a budget doesn’t mean you have to skimp on style. Decorating your bathroom or ensuite with affordable and stylish products can be done. Create a sense of luxe style in your bathrooms with these tips and fab shopping finds:

New Towels – Replacing your old faded and threaded towels is the quickest and easiest way to freshen up your bathroom. Be daring and choose a bold colour or pattern! This will look great if your bathroom is fairly neutral. Otherwise if your bathroom is of an era where peach was trendy, choose neutral tones such as beige. Boring, but safe.

Go Green – And add some plants – real or fake, it doesn’t matter. Plants can thrive in the bathroom. Think about adding a floating shelf above the end of the bath so you can sit your new plant up there. A chain of hearts or string of pearls would look good on a shelf.

Roll Your Towels – If your towels are on show – roll them – don’t fold them. This adds a sense of luxury to the space just like a fancy motel.

Storage Baskets – Keep your bench top clutter free and invest in some storage baskets in a range of sizes. Use them to store all your make up, creams and hair accessories. Keep them in the drawers or cupboard and pull out (and put back) when necessary.

Funky Handwash – Find some hand wash in a funky bottle. It has to be on show so it may as well add to vibe of the space and look good.

Hang Prints – Find some cheap pieces of art or printables that can be framed. You don’t want to spend a lot, the moisture of the bathroom may affect the art over time. Hang them on the walls or the floating shelf you’ve put up.

Candles – Candles are always a good option – use them.

Replace Your Shower Curtain – If its mouldy it needs to go…ok?

New Soap/Cup Set – New accessories on your bench top is a quick and easy way to freshen up your bathroom.

Repaint – Ok so maybe not the easiest way to freshen up the bathroom, but a new coat of paint will remove any mould that has appeared make the space look so much cleaner and fresher.

Use Babywipes – Wipe down your bench top and sink everyday with baby wipes. Keep them in the cupboard within reach so you can wipe away the morning toothbrush routine easily and quickly.

My bathroom is light, white and airy but needs some personality. Was thinking of adding some beiges but you’ve inspired me to think bright pops of colour instead.
