KMART HACKS : DO IT YOURSELF, ITS EASY.
So I think we all know that Kmart have totally upped their game when it comes to affordable and on trend homewares. Not everyone is into Kmart and thats cool. I love that I can get a new piece for the home and not have it break the bank. But did you know there is a whole world of Kmart hacks out there? Just search #kmarthack on Instagram to see what I am talking about. Some seriously cool and creative ladies have got them selves a can of spray paint and other crafty tools and totally hacked some of Kmart best selling items to turn them into something even more fabulous! Pretty cool huh?
Let me show what I am talking about.
Here @moore_creative has turned a pair of Kmart copper candle holders into a funky pair of pendant lights. Seriously cool. I think I may also spy the Kmart checked quilt cover on the bed. I am desperate for these copper candle holders, but they are sold out every where!
@The_4224_collective has turned the Kmart black metal basket into a bang on trend side table/storage by adding a marble top. Styled perfectly too with pinks and charcoals. You could even add a round chopping board (I’ve heard Ikea have a perfectly sized lazy susan) to the top for a different look and feel. Spray the basket any colour you choose!
The arrow light has been hacked with a fresh coat of cotton candy pink to match this little girls nursery. The clever mum behind this one is Amy from @amzhome. This is can easily been done to both the heart and ampersand lights as well don’t forget – the only trouble will be picking what colour to choose!
@tas_and_ellie is a genius with this one! These are the black and copper large bowls from Kmart hacked into pendant lights for about a quarter of the price! Winning!!
These shadow boxes have been transformed with sweet girly hues to match this adorable little girls room. @fee_loves has done an amazing job styling this little girls room. So pretty don’t you think?
Another shadow box hack, this time for the boys. Remember your only limited by your imagination! These shadow boxes look great anywhere in the home! @mel_zag has turned the pink and white shadow box pure white in this hack. It looks great!
I have a couple of these plants stands at home. The original colour is aqua or yellow. Grab yourself some black, white or copper paint for a sleeker look. @blondeonyxcandles has opted for black with a storage stack for her fiddle leaf fig. I love this!
For a cheap and easy solution to a lack of storage in the bathroom, @four.from.forty has dressed this Kmart 2 drawer table in some aqua and gold paint. I can picture this in a sweet nursery for a little girl with pink and aqua. Or in a study?
Oh my!! I absolutely adore this one! Recognise this? Yep, its the hard to find copper candle holder. Sprayed white and paired with that beaded cord, it makes one awesome pendant light. @skybdiva is the creative soul behind this one.
Can you count the number of Kmart hacks in this one? Kaz from @mahalo.mumma has hacked the shadow boxes, the clock and the animal hook shelf (how cute are superhero animals?). The wall stickers are also from Kmart – she chopped up the black cloud wall stickers into triangles! Clever thinking. I think she has done a cracking job.
These sweet Kmart hangers have been given a sweet little hack. Elise from @leopard_inthenight has dipped the ends into some pretty pink paint to dress up these otherwise boring hangers.
Michelle from @mishcav has given the copper candle holder a new purpose by creating a gorgeous little vase.
There you have it. 12 amazing Kmart hacks to turn something mass produced into something unique and simply stunning!
