House Update | Slab is Complete

With all the rain Wagga has had this winter, I honestly thought I would never get a slab, let alone 3. We have three slabs as the house is a tri level split home. It took a while between the lower slab getting poured and the highest level being poured. A few days of  sunshine was undone by a few days of rain. It was a never ending cycle and it looks to be continuing for the next week or so. But now we have the slab down it is full steam ahead with the frame and trusses going up on Monday.

I know we all love a good photo or two, so here’s a bunch! I couldn’t help myself. I have to drive past when I take Miss 5 to day care so the kids always ask to stop and have a look.

Excitement plus when the first level was done!

I am hoping to get council make the owners of the tree in the vacant block next door remove it.
It is overgrown and dead – its a hazard!

See the muddy sludge to the left of the pic? It was like that for weeks!

Two levels done!

Top layer is finished. You can't see the lower slab in this pic, but it is there!

All done!

I can’t wait till the frames are up and we can walk through and get a sense of the space and rooms! Check back next week and I’m sure I’ll have a little update for you!

Till next time!

PS – I banged this post out with one hand so forgive any typos!

My finger is sore! Went back to work yesterday and over did it trying to type with my other good fingers! Today I typed one handed… things were slow!
