GOING TROPICAL OVER THE MONSTERA PLANT

Theres a new plant in town and I believe he might be a little easier to keep around than the ol’ Fiddle. Its the Monstera Plant. Its large, lush and tropical leaves are popping up every – on linen, art work, cards! It certainly is a very on trend plant at the moment.

I have been eyeing of these plants for a little while. I have a spot in the new house where a Β Monstera Plant would look fabulous! These plants are very retro, your mum and dad probably had them when you growing up. Mum laughed at me when I said I was looking for one. Mum had on growing when we were younger.

They look great in a basket or pot, or even just a few leaves in a clear vase. The plant itself is quite large so you will need ample space for it to flourish – this plant isn’t for the faint of heart – go big or go home!

I am yet to find one though. My local bunnings doesn’t have one, and neither do the little local nurseries.

Here are some inspo pics for you…

What do you think? Yay or nay? Did your parents have one when you were growing up?

I have a back garden overgrown with them! I love them and have even managed to cultivate cuttings…so easy! Almost impossible to kill (unlike the fiddle leaf)

We hand one of these downstairs, until the dogs ripped it apart. πŸ™‚
