7 fun questions to ask your children.

design 4

We have a game we play at the dinner table each night – Tell us about your day. Like the name suggests we each take turns telling the others about our day. I find it has been great to get the kids to sit at the table and we can sometimes bribe them with more stories with each mouthful. As much as we enjoy this game, it is getting a bit old. I could just record my story and put it on repeat – it doesn’t change much!

So last night I mixed it up a little and asked these questions after dinner instead. You may remember I did this a few months ago, you can read about that here and see what the munchkins had to say then.

Here’s what happened last night.

What is the most fun thing to do at preschool/school?

Mr 5 – Play with my friends

Miss 3 – Play on the swings

What is the coolest thing you’ve ever seen?

Mr 5 – The very first time I saw a spider eating a real fly, he really did mum!!

Miss 3 – ahh, umm, chocolate and smarties (the kid is 3 and she was eating smarties. I guess that is kinda exciting when you’re 3)

If you were an adult for a day, what would you do?

Mr 5 – I’d be the boss of you and tell you what to do!

Miss 3 – I will play with you and annoy you.

Whats the nicest thing mummy has ever done for you?

Mr 5 – Giving me lots of cuddles, but I don’t like kisses. And you’re my favourite to play with.

Miss 3 – You play with me

What are you really good at?

Mr 5 – Being smart

Miss 3 – Playing at my desk.

Whats the hardest thing about being a kid?

Mr 5 – Learning new stuff

Miss 3 – Making new friends

Why did mummy and daddy get married?

Mr 5 – Because you love each other.

Miss 3 – I don’t know?

I’d love for you to join in! Ask your kids these questions and leave their answers in the comments below. Or do your own blog post and leave me a link.
Happy chatting x

I love your questions! And the answers…so cute! I can’t wait for my little man to start talking sentences!

You should try “tell me everything about your day at school” next…you will be amazed at how much they will tell you free narrative!
