It’s 2017 + I’m B.A.C.K

Wow. 2017 already! 2016 went kinda fast didn’t it? Did you feel like that too?

You may be wondering where the heck I was in 2016 – I kind of lost my blogging mojo. It happens. I blogged a bit but my heart wasn’t in it so I stopped. Took a break.Β

But the silly thing was – I had so much to say last year! So much to show you about our new house, the build process and all the decisions that went with it. I tried to keep you all up to date but it kinda didn’t happen. But its all ok – I can’t wait to share it all with you this year. I learnt ALOT!

So we are all moved in to the new digs and we are loving it – even the two dogs seem a lot happier. I knew this new house would have a better vibe, I just didn’t realise how much I was needing the change. Looking back the old house just depressed me. The closer we got to moving the more depressing it became. I’ll tell you more about that later though.

I can’t wait to show you our new home. The photo above is a sneak peek. Currently we have a lot of white blank walls, empty spaces (I sold most of all our old furniture) and not a whole of cash to do anything! It will be a work in progress and I will share it step by step with you. I will probably start with the kids bedrooms because I have lots of things already stashed away for these rooms and kids rooms are FUN!

What else? Well work was super busy last year. I was flat out all day and then when I came home to my depressing house, I didn’t want to do anything but veg on the couch and watch Netflix (the other time waster – we watch so much Netflix). Then, crazy me accepted a gig designing websites for a company in Sydney. With tight turnarounds I was out of this world stressed and there was no time or energy left for blogging.

But I hope that all changes this year because I have really MISSED my blog. Like really, really missed it. Having a blog is fun, creative and I just enjoy it. I won’t be posting everyday. I am going to aim for twice a week – anything more is a bonus right?

I would love to hear from you – if there is something you need help with or you just want to say hi – then shoot me a email

Talk to you soon!

Yay, so happy to hear you’re back blogging more! I missed your regular posts too.
I totally hear your pain about wanting to furnish a new home but not having much cash left in the kitty after a new build. We finished building our house 18 months ago and it’s been a slow and steady process. I did share a few tips that worked for me on the blog here though if it’s helpful Some pieces that I thought were completely unworkable were transformed with an upcycle (like the long full-wall desk in my study used to be a hideous frosted glass corner desk). Can’t wait to see more pics of your home xx
